Here is a brief explanation of the items above.
- Shop Title
The name you give to your
shop. It's used through out your Website and the administration panels
- Order Email
Any orders processed by the site will be sent to this email address.
- Administration Email
All other emails
from clients or customers will come to this email address, such as from
the contact form.
- BackGround Image
This will become the
background for your entire site if you decide to use one. If not, just
leave this space blank. Use only .jpg or .gif format and upload the
background to your image file using the "Upload Images" portion of your
control panel
- Background Color
Even if you use a
background image, you might want to set the color different than the
default of 'white'. This color will be displayed while your background
image is loading or if your customers have images 'turned off' in their
browsers
- Shop Logo
If you use one, enter the
'name' of it here. Use only image.jpg or image.gif style images. Also
fill in it's exact size, width and height. This will help the image load
quicker.
- Shop Logo Alt Tag
The 'Alt Tag' will be
seen by folks surfing your site that have Images disabled in their
browsers. So, even though your logo won't show up, this text will.
Giving a short description of your site is a good way to use this
feature.
- Page Links
Choose the names of these
pages. They will appear on all pages as links. If you use images to navigate your site, you must
leave the text box blank.
- Image Links
Choose the images to use for
your page links. Load the images thru the "Upload Images" portion of
your control panel. Also include the 'alternate image' phrase in case
your customer has images turned off, they will at least see the text
- Link Text Font
This is the style of font
you use to display the links to the other pages on your site, along with
it's size and color
- Body Text Font
This is the style of font
you want to use for all the text on your site, other than links. Also
choose the size and color
- Headline Font
This is the larger text at
the top of your main pages. Choose it style size and color
- Default Language
This is set to English
and should probably remain that way. If you would like to use another,
contact your mall administrator for instructions
- Shop Zip Code
This is the zip/postal
code of the shop owners origination point for shipping calculations.
- Products Per Page
How many products do
you want displayed per page. We suggest from 4 to 8 if you have images,
a few more if you don't. You don't want so many that it takes forever
for the page to load
- Search Items Per Page
When a customer
searches your site, how many product listings do you want per page.
Again, you don't want so many that it takes to long to load
- Shop Uses Stock Database
Unless you have
a specific reason, leave this at yes. You will lose a lot of
functionality if you set it to no
- Out of Stock Term
If you don't want to
remove an item, from your database, but still let people know that you
can get it, enter that term here.
- Low Stock Term
Could be used as a
marketing scheme to get people to buy now, letting them know you don't
have many left.
- In Stock Term
For items you currently
have in stock.
- Clearance Term
If you have marked items
for clearance in your shop, this is how you would tell your customer.
- "On Sale" Term
Get that customer to buy
now.
- Calculate Shipping at Checkout
If you
want shipping calculated at checkout, leave this set to 1. If you don't,
set it to 0. 1 is yes, 0 is no
- Calculate Tax/VAT at Checkout
If you are
required to charge a sales tax, or a VAT, then you might as well do it
at checkout so that your customer knows what it's going to cost. A 1 =
yes, a 0 = no
- Sales Tax/VAT rate
This is the rate, in
percent, of how much tax/VAT you charge at checkout, if required to do
so. .07 is 7% .175 is 17.5%
- Credit Cards Accepted
If you accept
credit cards on your site, fill in the blanks. If you don't accept a
certain card, just leave that spot blank
